Anylytical solver for strength calculation of railway axles
Fišer, Petr ; Náhlík, Luboš (referee) ; Vaverka, Michal (advisor)
This master thesis deals with wheel set axles of rail vehicles, their design and methods of implementation stress analysis. In this work, I created a powered locomotive wheel set: axle and wheel. For the purpose of the design department of the Bonatrans Group a.s. company I developed an analytical solver, which allows creating stress analysis, which will be used for verifying finished design and in addition it allows printing of stress analysis as report for the railway´s offices. Next step was a stress analysis of this design of axle in this analytical solver.
Influence of surface modifications on fatigue life
Gerec, Matúš ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Vopařil, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis presents the description of surface treatment technologies used on dynamically loaded mechanical parts. It explains the influence of each surface treatment on high–cycle fatigue life. Then the thesis describes the analytical calculation of fatigue limit of real part and approach to design of mechanical part on infinite life.
Fatigue life of crankshaft
Wolf, David ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Vopařil, Jan (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the crankshaft as one of the most dynamically stressed component of internal combustion engines. At the beginning describes in the wider context how is the crankshaft of internal combustion engines strained. Then it considers individual parts of crankshaft, which are affecting its construction in terms of fatigue life. And in the last section describes the different ways to eliminate the damage caused by cyclic loading and modern methods of fatigue life prediction of crankshafts.
Strength design of the press frame construction and the compliance calculation at the load position.
Dobeš, Martin ; Suchánek, Miroslav (referee) ; Vrbka, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis is intent on the calculation of a plane frame which is used for hydraulic press. The theoretical basis for the calculation is mentioned in the first part of this thesis. The calculation of a concrete exercise according to the task set in the bachelor's thesis is in the second part. As a frame model we used a plane frame with two crossbeams. The load on the plane frame is interpreted by solitary forces which work upon the crossbeams. The calculation uses the Castiglian's theorem to specify the unknown parameters from deformation conditions. The calculation considers flexion energy of tensity. In the next part of the calculation, we consider the energy of tensity caused by vertical and normal shear for comparison. Coordinates of the load position can be changed at will. The final results of the thesis are a concrete frame proposal and an examination of pliability of the frame. The calculation was carried out in MAPLE 11 software.
Evaluation of mechanical characteristics of metalic materials under cyclic loading
Vlach, Jiří ; Slámečka, Karel (referee) ; Horníková, Jana (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on study mechanical characteristics of metalic materials under cyclic loading. In the first section there are summarized current facts about three fatigue stages: fatigue hardening/softening, microcrack nucleation and crack propagation. This part also contains information about fatigue life, fatigue strength and fatigue limit. The main aim of practical part was to evaluate the Wöhler´s curve, also called S-N curve.
Fatigue properties of structural steel 11 523
Kudelka, Martin ; Kohout, Jan (referee) ; Věchet, Stanislav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis studies the mechanical properties of steel 11 523 in the state after normalization annealing. Its purpose is an assessment of the structure in material and determination of static and fatigue characteristics. In the theoretical part of thesis, there is explained, how to divide and mark kinds of steel. There is also a mention about basic parameters of material and the main attention is paid to fatigue and its laws. The metallographic analysis, tensile test and the fatigue test were realized in the experimental part of thesis. Experimentally determined values were compared with data in the literature.
